Far West Academy of Sports

The Far West Academy of Sport (FWAS) is an incorporated, not-for-profit community organisation that is funded by a number of government, philanthropic and commercial partners.

One of 11 Regional Academies of Sport, the FWAS is governed by a skills-based Board of Directors.

The FWAS’ Mission is to identify, develop and support talented athletes, coaches and officials in Far West NSW through the provision of growth opportunities that build on technical skill, expand performance experience and develop off field skills, enabling athletes and coaches to reach their full potential and become leaders in their chosen field.

Our close partnerships with the Office of Sport, State Sporting Organisations, High Performance Exercise Scientists and our local communities enable us to live out our mission.
